Get a scrub brush that you can screw a pole into. Spray with bleach and then scrub.
You can use Trisodium Phosphate if you don’t want to use bleach.

Go to Baneclene.com and order a special brush made for cleaning grout, you can do the cleaning/brushing standing up.

Well, you’ll need to get on your knees to scrub it just one more time. Scrub the grout as clean as you can with plain white vinegar and an old toothbrush.

      Then paint it.

Just use regular house paint (Satin sheen). You can have the paint tinted any color you like. I used light gray.

You won’t need much paint…probably just a quart.

Paint with an artist’s paint brush. The kind you use for water color painting. Clean up any paint that gets on the tiles while the paint is still wet.

After painting, the grout will be as easy to clean as the tile. All you’ll need to do is vacuum or mop. It will be a piece of cake to keep clean.

By the way….you can even skip the pre-painting vinegar cleaning and just paint right over the grime, but you would always know the grime is there.
