Question by blebert2002: Cleaning tile floors?
We have just bought a house with tile floors. They are 12×12 tiles and are very textured, (groves all over them, that a can get clean). Does anyone one have any ways of cleaning them. I was using bleach water, but I am pregnant and smelling bleach has already sent me to the hospital once. So I need something else that will clean them.
Please give me some ideas, on what I can do to cut down on my floor cleaning time.
Thanks for all your help!

Depending how dirty your floors are.
Light clean just use dawn with warm to hot water and maybe some pin-sol or Lysol for a disinfectant not to much. Vacuum floor then mop.
Heavier soiled floor you can same soapy water use a soft brush to scrub floors. Like the one you would use to was your car…

The best thing for tiled floors is a good mop and boiling hot water. The tiles will dry very quick & leave no streaks. Then you can add a small amout of any floor cleaner and do the same again. as as you have just moved in , sure it might take a few washes to get them how you won´t them. I have ceramic and marble tiles all over my house. I normally just use boiling water and no detergents. Bleach will only fade the color of the tiles. Congratulations & good luck , hope all goes well.
small amount of white vinegar to 2 gallons of water. about a quarter of a cup.
